The Rest Is Entertainment is a podcast about the Entertainment Industry. From what we watch on NetFlix to the future of the Cinema and BBC. It is basically about the media, including the latest stories.
Marina Hyde And Richard Osman
Marina Hyde is a journalist of many years who has worked on all the newspapers. She has had experience of the newsdesk of The Sun, right up to the Guardian. She knows journalism and the media works.
Richard Osman, him of Pointless fame, also wrote the obscenely best selling books ‘The Thursday Murder Club’ series. He is also an experienced television producer has produced many hits. He knows how television works and what its trends are.
Two Shows a Week
They have two shows a week. One covers what is happening in the entertainment industry and all the scandals that have happened
The other takes questions from the public and they ask why or what is happening in the world of entertainment. Marina provides answers at to why the story appears the way it does to the public. Richard answers questions about the ‘inside’ of a show and what is actually happening.

What do I think of the Rest Is Entertainment overall?
I would give the Rest of Entertainment a solid 8 out of 10. It gives an old git like me a way of learning what is new and recommended things to watch. I have listened to the show often. However, I am not keen enough to see it live. Also I do not want to subscribe to it. I will put up with adverts. Sorry Richard and Marina. It is good but I am not one of the devotees
